Getting Started
How do I install a zenO plugin?
▼
Installing a zenO plugin is as simple as installing any other WordPress plugin. From your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New, search for the plugin by name, click Install Now, and then Activate. If you’re using our free trial link, you’ll be guided through the Freemius onboarding process which handles installation automatically. Most plugins are ready to use immediately after activation with sensible default settings.
Do I need coding skills to use zenO plugins?
▼
No coding skills are required. All zenO plugins are built with non-technical users in mind and feature intuitive dashboards in your WordPress admin area. Configuration is done through user-friendly forms and toggles. If you need advanced customization, our team can assist through our support channels, and some enterprise customers opt for our custom development services.
What’s included in the free trial?
▼
Our 7-day free trials include full access to all plugin features with no credit card required. You get complete functionality to test how the plugin works with your store and see real results before committing to a subscription. After the trial expires, the plugin remains inactive unless you choose to purchase a subscription. All your data and configurations are saved, so upgrading is seamless.
Can I use multiple zenO plugins together?
▼
Absolutely! All zenO plugins are designed to work together seamlessly without conflicts. Many of our best results come from customers using complementary plugins—for example, combining Wooptimize for better descriptions with Upsell Pilot for checkout recommendations. Coming in Q2 2026, zenOAI will intelligently orchestrate all your plugins to work as one unified system.
Which plugin should I start with?
▼
It depends on your biggest challenge, but we recommend starting with Wooptimize if you want immediate conversion improvements, or Upsell Pilot if you want to increase average order value quickly. Both have proven ROI in the first week and require minimal setup. If you’re not sure, our support team can review your store and recommend the plugin that will have the biggest impact on your specific business.
Plugins & Features
Do zenO plugins work with all WooCommerce themes?
▼
Yes, zenO plugins are theme-agnostic and work with any WooCommerce-compatible theme including Storefront, Divi, Elementor, Astra, and custom themes. Our plugins hook into WooCommerce’s core functionality rather than depending on theme-specific code. If you’re using a theme with unusual customizations, we still support it, but we recommend reaching out to support if you have compatibility questions specific to your setup.
Will plugins slow down my site?
▼
No. zenO plugins are optimized for performance and typically have minimal impact on page load times. Many plugins run asynchronously or on the backend, and front-end features are lazy-loaded. We’ve tested extensively with sites running thousands of products. If you’re concerned about performance, our team can run a specific analysis of your store setup and provide optimization recommendations.
How often are plugins updated?
▼
We release updates regularly—typically monthly—with security patches, feature improvements, and bug fixes deployed as needed. All updates are backwards-compatible and won’t break your existing configurations. You’ll receive notifications in your WordPress dashboard before any major updates, and you can schedule updates to run at convenient times.
Do plugins work with WooCommerce multisite?
▼
Yes, all zenO plugins support WordPress multisite networks. You can activate plugins network-wide or on individual sites depending on your setup. Licenses are tied to the root domain, so network-wide activation is typically the most cost-effective approach. Contact our sales team if you’re running multisite and want to discuss licensing options.
What’s the difference between Beta and Production plugins?
▼
Beta plugins (like DropSense, Reputation Pulse, and SKU Monitor) are feature-complete but still gathering real-world feedback before full public release. Beta access is limited and typically offered to early adopters at a reduced rate. Production plugins have been battle-tested on thousands of stores. We recommend beta plugins if you want early access to cutting-edge features and don’t mind providing occasional feedback.
Can I request features?
▼
Absolutely! We actively solicit feature requests from our users. You can submit requests directly through your plugin dashboard or by contacting our support team. All feature requests are reviewed and prioritized based on customer demand and alignment with our product roadmap. Being a paying customer gives your requests more visibility in our development planning.
Pricing & Billing
What are my payment options?
▼
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and PayPal through our Freemius payment processor. Monthly and annual subscriptions are billed automatically on your renewal date. Invoices are generated automatically and available in your Freemius account dashboard. For enterprise customers, we also offer custom payment arrangements and invoice-based billing.
What’s the difference between monthly, annual, and lifetime?
▼
Monthly plans renew every 30 days and offer maximum flexibility if you want to test a plugin short-term. Annual plans are billed once per year and typically offer a 20-30% discount compared to paying monthly. Lifetime licenses are one-time purchases that grant perpetual access without ongoing payments. Lifetime licenses are available for select plugins and represent the best long-term value if you plan to use the plugin indefinitely.
Is there a free version of any plugin?
▼
Most zenO plugins offer a 7-day free trial with full features and no credit card required. This gives you time to evaluate the plugin’s impact on your store. We don’t offer permanently free versions, but the trials are generous enough to get real results and decide if the plugin is worth the investment. If you’re looking for permanent free access, contact us about our partner or beta programs.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
▼
Yes, you can upgrade from monthly to annual, or from either of those to a lifetime license at any time. Upgrades are prorated, so you only pay the difference. Simply log into your Freemius account dashboard and select the new plan type. The upgrade takes effect immediately and includes the remaining time from your previous plan.
Do you offer agency or bulk licensing?
▼
Yes! We offer special agency and bulk licensing programs for those managing multiple stores or serving clients. Agency partners receive significant discounts and can resell plugins with white-labeling options. Contact our sales team with your use case and we’ll create a custom licensing arrangement that works for your business model.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
▼
When your subscription ends, the plugin becomes inactive but isn’t deleted—your data and configurations remain in the database. You can reactivate the plugin anytime by renewing your subscription. There are no cancellation fees or penalties; you simply stop being charged when the subscription ends. If you need to pause temporarily, you can cancel and restart without losing your setup.
Technical & Compatibility
What are the WordPress/WooCommerce requirements?
▼
zenO plugins require WordPress 5.8+ and WooCommerce 5.0+. We support PHP 7.4 through 8.2 (and newer versions as they’re released). Before installing, verify your hosting meets these requirements—most modern hosts do. You can check your versions in Settings > General (WordPress) and WooCommerce > Status (WooCommerce version) from your dashboard.
Do plugins work with Freemius licensing?
▼
Yes, all zenO plugins use Freemius for licensing and updates. Freemius is a trusted platform used by thousands of WordPress plugins worldwide. When you activate a plugin, you’ll authenticate through Freemius once, and then updates are handled automatically. Your Freemius account is separate from your WordPress.org account and ties together all your zenO plugin licenses.
Are plugins GDPR compliant?
▼
Yes, all zenO plugins are built with GDPR compliance in mind. We process personal data only as necessary for plugin functionality and never sell user data to third parties. All plugins respect WordPress privacy standards and are compatible with popular privacy plugins like GDPR plugins. If you need detailed compliance documentation for your jurisdiction, our legal team can provide that.
What happens when I deactivate a plugin?
▼
Deactivating a plugin pauses its functionality but preserves all data and settings in your database. If you reactivate the plugin later, everything resumes exactly where it left off. Deleting the plugin removes the code, but your data remains. This gives you flexibility to test plugins without losing configurations or worried about permanent changes.
Do you provide an API?
▼
We’re building APIs for enterprise customers and integrations with third-party tools. Currently, our plugins expose some data through WooCommerce REST API endpoints, and zenOAI (launching Q2 2026) will include comprehensive developer APIs. Contact our enterprise team if you need custom API access for advanced integrations.
